Acceptance of these Terms
By installing the ChefCart app or using the chefcart.app website you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These Terms form the contract between you and the provider named above.
Eligibility & account
You must be at least 16 years old to use ChefCart. We authenticate accounts through Supabase; you can sign in with email/password, Apple, Google, or Facebook. You're responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable use
Don't use ChefCart to break the law, infringe other people's rights, send spam, attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or interfere with anyone else's use. Don't upload content you have no right to share.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recipes, lists, and notes you create. By using ChefCart you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, and display this content so we can provide the service. Recipes you import from a URL are stored as public by default; cookbook scans, manual entries, and free-text imports are private until you choose to share them.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period until cancelled. Cancel any time via your platform's subscription settings — access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Apple's and Google's respective policies; we don't process refunds directly.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. All your personal data is erased within 30 days, except records we have to keep by law (for example, invoices). We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms; we give notice when possible.
Disclaimers
ChefCart is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Recipes, dietary suggestions, and budgeting tools are for your convenience only — you remain responsible for checking allergens, food safety, and any health considerations.
Liability
Mandatory provisions of German consumer law remain unaffected. Otherwise, we are liable without limitation only for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under the Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). For breaches of material contractual obligations our liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damages. Beyond that, liability is excluded.
Changes
We may update these Terms when the service or applicable law changes. Material changes are announced in the app and via email at least 30 days before taking effect. If you don't agree with a change, you can delete your account before it applies.
Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country where you live remain unaffected. Where permitted by law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Munich, Germany. The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
